Ryan90 –
I’ve only used the dishwasher a few times so far, but I’m impressed with the quality, and it’s super quiet. The only thing is when it drains into our sink, the water makes a gurgling sound in the pipes, which is pretty normal. I do wish the door could stay open just a crack to let the steam out and help the dishes dry better, especially since we don’t use Jet Dry. Right now, it’s either wide open or shut. Also, I haven’t figured out how to cancel a cycle once it’s running since all the buttons are hidden during operation.

The Bosch 800 Series Dishwasher is an outstanding addition to the kitchen. Installation was a breeze, especially since we had a Bosch before, making the swap super straightforward. This machine does an amazing job cleaning—it gets dishes spotless and leaves no residue behind. After running it more than a dozen times, I can confidently say everything comes out sparkling clean and dry. The Crystal Dry feature really takes the finish to the next level. Also, the red LED light that shines on the floor is such a thoughtful touch. The first time we ran it, I had to double-check it was on because it’s so unbelievably quiet! Highly recommend the Bosch 800 for anyone in the market for a top-tier dishwasher.

I’ve been a fan of Bosch dishwashers for years, and this 800 Series Tall Tub is my third one across different homes. Bosch has always delivered quiet, energy-efficient, and well-built machines, but this model takes it to the next level. First off, it’s *super* quiet. While it’s rated at 42 decibels, my phone app clocked it closer to 50 (not the most accurate tool, I know). Still, it’s whisper-quiet—like a library-level hum—and from a few feet away, you’d barely know it’s running.
Inside, it’s roomy and thoughtfully designed. The racks are spacious, with the lower one offering plenty of space for big pots. The top third rack is a standout feature for utensils and small items, though it also comes with a removable cutlery basket if you prefer. The Crystal Dry feature is a game-changer, leaving everything perfectly dry and shiny. Plus, the stainless steel tub and exterior add to its durability, keeping rust at bay for years to come.
Overall, this is a sleek, well-made appliance that checks all the boxes. Highly recommend it!

We’ve been using our new Bosch dishwasher for about a month now, and it’s a top-tier appliance with “Crystal Dry” technology. It does everything it promises—leaves dishes spotless, dries thoroughly, and operates so quietly you barely notice it’s on. It’s almost a five-star product!
The only drawbacks are with the rack design. The rack for glasses and cups feels awkward to load efficiently. On the right side, there’s a strange setup with a foldable stemware rack above it, which only really works for stemware. The bottom rack also has this odd open gap (about 3” x 5”) in the front right corner that seems like it’s crying out for a small basket to hold utensils or small kitchen tools.
All in all, it’s a fantastic dishwasher, but those small design quirks keep it just shy of perfect.

I can’t even begin to explain how much I love my Bosch dishwasher! We had one in our first home and it was incredible. When we upgraded the kitchen, I went with a different brand to match the appliances, and let me tell you—I regretted it the whole time. Now, in our remodeled forever home, I’m back to Bosch, and it’s AMAZING!
It cleans every dish without pre-rinsing, and it’s so quiet that I’ve accidentally opened it while it was running. I’m training myself to check for the red light on the floor before opening it! Sure, you can find a cheaper option, but it’s true—you get what you pay for. I’m 100% satisfied and can confidently say I’ll never buy anything but a Bosch again.
Nolan B –
This dishwasher is a total game-changer! I couldn’t be happier with it. For the first time ever, I can load it up with dirty dishes and have them come out completely spotless, no weird residue left behind. And the best part? It’s so quiet! My old dishwasher was so loud I had to wait until bedtime to run it, which was a pain with an open floorplan.
The only downside? The door does show fingerprints, but a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth fixes that in no time. Overall, this thing is a dream!

I recently got the Bosch SHXM78Z55N 800 Series, and wow, what an incredible dishwasher! The Crystal Dry feature is a game-changer—it dries everything, even plastics, completely bone dry. Like my previous Bosch, this one excels at cleaning, tackling even baked-on messes so that every dish comes out spotless and dry.
I also really appreciate the sleek top-panel controls and the bright LED light that signals when it’s running. That light is crucial because this machine is so quiet you’d never know it’s on without it! If you’re in the market for a new dishwasher, I can’t recommend this one enough. Bosch really knocks it out of the park!
Surge8 –
The dishwasher works fine—about on par with the 20-year-old Bosch it replaced—and I do like some of the updated features. But there are a couple of downsides. If I don’t run it for a few days, a terrible odor builds up, even though we rinse everything before loading. It’s definitely something with the machine, as this was never an issue with the older one.
Another issue is having to reset the electronics. The instructions for doing this aren’t clear at all, and if it weren’t for YouTube tutorials, I’d still be stuck. For a premium appliance, you’d think Bosch would have these quirks ironed out. Fingers crossed the smell problem resolves soon because it’s pretty awful.
Zap85 –
We’re happy with how quiet this dishwasher is, but honestly, we expected better quality for the price. The bottom rack is a nightmare—it falls off the track every time it’s fully loaded and is a pain to get back into place. For a premium brand, this is super disappointing, especially since the machine is brand new.
Also, if Bosch prefers silverware on the top rack, why bother including the utensil holder on the bottom? It just adds to the confusion. Plus, the items on the top tray often come out dirty and have to be rewashed. For such an expensive appliance, these issues really shouldn’t happen. Bosch needs to work on fixing these problems!
Flow77 –
After dealing with GE’s disappointing “top-of-the-line” dishwasher that barely lasted a year, we gave up and started fresh. We decided to splurge a little on a Bosch, and wow—what a game changer! Everything comes out spotless, from crystal glasses to silverware, and even on just a regular cycle. It’s so good, we’ve been running old dishes through it to undo the damage from our last machine.
And the quietness? Unreal. The red floor light is the only way to tell it’s even on. Our neighbors were in the market for a new dishwasher, took one look at ours, and bought the exact same model. They keep thanking us for the recommendation! If you’re on the fence, just get this one. You won’t regret it!
Adam W –
Overall, it’s a great dishwasher, but there are a few minor issues. The touch buttons on the control panel are a bit too sensitive—sometimes they respond right away, other times it takes a few tries to get the setting you want. My wife, in particular, struggles to get the machine started.
The speed wash option is nice, but it’s a 60-minute cycle with 38 minutes spent drying, which feels a bit long for a “speed” wash. It would be really helpful if we could turn off the drying part to make it a true 60-minute cycle.
Aside from that, the machine performs really well. Dishes and glasses come out spotless, and the top tray is super handy for flat or long items. We’re happy with our purchase overall!
Hannah D –
My neighbors raved about the Bosch dishwasher, so I decided to give it a try. It’s super quiet and does an excellent job cleaning, but I’m not a fan of the loading racks. The partitions are a bit awkward for fitting dishes. The high third rack is only good for long, flat items—anything slightly taller won’t fit.
I ended up swapping out the silverware holder for my old one. The Bosch one is too narrow for my liking, and I prefer wider bins for organizing silverware. I group all like items together when loading, which makes putting everything away a lot easier. More smaller compartments just don’t do it for me.
ElijahVa –
We’ve had this Bosch dishwasher for about five weeks now, and we’re really happy with it. It gets the dishes super clean and is pretty quiet. We had a top-of-the-line model from another brand before, but the Bosch outperforms it in almost every way. It’s not quite as quiet as the old one, but it cleans better and was also a breeze to install.
Raptor92 –
Bosch is known for making the quietest dishwashers, and this one is no exception. The red light on the floor that shows it’s running is the only way you’d know it’s on – super impressive. The multiple loading options, including the third rack, give you plenty of space to load up all your dishes and pans, especially after a big dinner party. Drying used to be a challenge, but with CrystalDry, it’s a huge improvement. Even plastic cups dry without melting, as long as you load them to prevent water pooling. Time will tell how durable it is, but with Bosch’s reputation, I expect it to last a long time. My last Bosch lasted over 10 years, and this one’s packed with the latest features.
Carson M –
One of the main reasons I chose a new dishwasher for my kitchen remodel was because of the noise level, especially since my family room is right next to the kitchen. My old GE dishwasher, which was 25 years old, worked great but was very loud. I’ve had the Bosch for 2 weeks now and have run 2 loads, and honestly, I don’t think it’s as quiet as I hoped. I can easily tell it’s running without looking for the red light – I can hear it from about 10 feet away. Using an iPhone app, I measured the decibel level and it’s between 47 and 50. The cleaning performance has been fine, and CrystalDry did a good job, but the cycle takes at least 2 hours! I had high expectations for this dishwasher, and so far, it hasn’t quite lived up to them.
Esposito –
We made the mistake of listening to an appliance salesperson when he recommended a GE Profile dishwasher when we moved into our home. It turned out to be the worst dishwasher we’ve ever had – loud and ineffective at cleaning. After a year, my wife said, “Let’s get rid of this awful dishwasher and get the Bosch we originally wanted.” We couldn’t be happier with our Bosch 800 Series! It’s so quiet, and our dishes come out sparkling clean and dry – something our old dishwasher never did properly. We also replaced our double oven, cooktop, and microwave with Bosch appliances. Big thanks for such a great product!
Burst90 –
We got our Bosch 800 series installed over Mother’s Day weekend, so we’ve been using it for about two months now. After watching a YouTube video, my husband and I had it set up in no time, and it was super easy. The best part? It’s so quiet that the only time we notice it’s running is when the water drains. That’s a huge plus since our kitchen and family room are all one open space. I also love being able to put plastics on the bottom shelf—thanks, Bosch, for sending those helpful videos! The finish is easy to clean and stays looking nicer than any of our other “fingerprint-resistant” stainless steel appliances. Overall, we’re really happy with it.
Elena C –
I absolutely love this dishwasher! As a mom of three boys, I’m doing at least one load a day, and it does a fantastic job cleaning. It’s so quiet, I can barely tell it’s running (except for the red light on the floor, which I think is pretty cool). I’ve had it for 6 months, so I can’t speak to how long it lasts yet, but so far, no problems at all. The top third rack is one of my favorite features—perfect for small items and lids. If you open it while it’s running, water sprays out, but if you just crack it open a bit first, it’s fine. Also, you have to hit the start button again if you open it mid-cycle, which took a little getting used to since my old one would just start back up automatically. All in all, it’s been an awesome dishwasher, and totally worth the price to me.
Camila S –
It cleans dishes really well and is insanely quiet—like, you barely hear it. The racks are adjustable, and there’s a special shelf for those large or awkward utensils. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the ridiculously confusing controls. It’s so complicated! I just don’t get why an otherwise well-designed appliance makes you go to the manual every time you want to use it. If they could fix that, it’d be pretty much perfect. I’m sure we’ll eventually get the hang of it, but wow, it’s been a pain.
Zenith –
I bought the stainless steel SHXM78Z55N dishwasher on March 15, and I’m always careful about cleaning these kinds of things. But after just a month and a half, I noticed the door is covered in small rust-colored spots. It definitely doesn’t look new anymore! On top of that, the drying performance isn’t great either. For a supposedly high-quality stainless steel product, this shouldn’t be happening. It’s pretty disappointing.
MC-76 –
The appliance is super quiet, just like they said it would be. There are two spots for silverware: a tray at the top and two baskets on the bottom rack. I’ve been using the top tray because the baskets take up a lot of space that I need for bigger items on the bottom. I’m finding it tricky to load cereal bowls and round plastic containers, mostly because they either don’t fit in the slots or they fit but tip forward, taking up extra space. I followed the loading instructions from the manual, but I still haven’t found the perfect arrangement. As for plastic items, they usually don’t dry completely by the end of the cycle, unless they’re placed in a way that doesn’t let them move around during the wash.
