Murch –
Following Wirecutter’s advice, I purchased this dishwasher without seeing it first—a mistake I won’t make again. While it runs quietly, it doesn’t clean as well as my old KitchenAid. The build quality feels cheap, and the rack layout is strangely designed. I’ll be sure to inspect appliances in person for future purchases.
huk22 –
Whoever thought it was a good idea to limit key functions like delay start and rinse cycle to the app clearly didn’t consider convenience. It’s baffling that the control panel lacks those options. That said, it does clean well, but the design decision is frustratingly short-sighted.
Torri –
Excellent! This is our third Bosch dishwasher over the last 30 years and across several homes. Bosch has never let us down!
cleaner –
Ah, a dishwasher—one might think it a mundane subject to critique, but they certainly have their quirks. To start, if you stick with the automatic mode as designed, it performs admirably. Dishes come out spotless, and what more can one ask? However, dare to experiment with the app, and you may find yourself in a labyrinth of poor documentation, limited options, and subpar results. Perhaps, with enough trials, you could achieve the perfect outcome, but frankly, it hardly seems worth the effort.
Now, to the points that cost this machine a star. First, if you run it overnight, by morning the machine is completely off—no “Clean” light to indicate the cycle is finished. This is hardly ideal in a household with multiple occupants. Who thought it wise for the “Clean” status to disappear in under an hour? It’s hardly a stretch to remember washing dishes within that time, but come morning, the ambiguity is real.
Second, the lower rack has these handy tines that fold down, allowing versatile loading. Yet, this comes at the cost of raising the rack slightly. Why does this matter? Try loading a tall glass or water bottle after filling the top rack—it will topple over. My last Bosch had similar flexibility without the unnecessary elevation, so I’m baffled as to why it was added here. A curious design flaw in an otherwise competent machine.
Sonny –
After retiring my old dishwasher of more than 20 years, I am thoroughly impressed by this new model. It cleans impeccably and operates with remarkable silence, making it a delightful upgrade in both functionality and noise control.
NNN570 –
Our old dishwasher had a faulty heating element for months, leaving us to manually dry the wet dishes on the rack. This new one not only dries everything perfectly but also excels at thoroughly cleaning the dishes, making a world of difference.
Birma –
While the dishes come out spotless, they remain damp, even with the extra dry setting activated. It’s also noticeably louder than my previous dishwasher, which is a bit disappointing.
Nik230 –
Even with all settings maxed and the rinse aid on, the drying performance is still lacking. Unlike other models, it lacks a door vent or a feature to pop open at the end of the cycle, causing steam to condense inside the unit. On the plus side, it’s incredibly quiet, which I appreciate. The top third cutlery rack is a great feature and really saves strain on my back. However, a second plastic tray for the bottom rack would have been useful. The app is a bit clunky, but the remote configuration feature is handy. I also miss having a manual drain button on the front control panel.
mitas –
Upgrading to the Bosch 300 series from our old, worn-out Maytag has proven to be a great decision. We chose Bosch for its renowned reliability and superior cleaning capabilities, and it has lived up to its reputation. The machine operates with impressive quietness, and our dishes have never looked so spotless. I would wholeheartedly recommend it!
Tealove –
I’m delighted with my new Bosch 300 dishwasher. It stands out as the quietest I’ve ever owned. The clever design of the upper rack, which accommodates silverware, frees up ample space in the lower racks for additional items. I rely on Consumer Reports for appliance recommendations, and Bosch consistently ranks at the top. My only quibble is that the delay start function is app-only, which would be more convenient if it were accessible directly on the machine.
Doddy –
This is my inaugural experience with a Bosch dishwasher, and it certainly won’t be my last. I used to pre-sanitize my dishes before every cycle, but the Bosch handles everything so thoroughly that such pre-washing is now unnecessary. The efficiency of this appliance is remarkable, and its whisper-quiet operation is a true delight. The only minor drawback is the absence of a time remaining display, but overall, I am thrilled with my decision to invest in a Bosch dishwasher.
detector –
This is undoubtedly the finest dishwasher I’ve ever owned. It operates in complete silence, so much so that its running is almost imperceptible. With the Home Connect feature and a variety of cycles to choose from, it offers exceptional versatility. The standout feature, however, is the extra drying cycle, which truly enhances its performance.
Emily –
This dishwasher excels at cleaning, but its drying performance leaves much to be desired. Despite any suggestions to improve it, plastic items, including some dishwasher components, consistently come out damp. I find myself towel-drying the items before putting them away and leaving the door ajar to aid in the drying process after each cycle.
Chilling –
For months, we endured the inconvenience of a failing heating element in our old dishwasher, resigning ourselves to retrieving damp dishes and setting them out to air dry. Now, not only are our dishes left immaculately clean, but they emerge from the wash perfectly dry, requiring no further effort on our part.
Pablo C –
I am thoroughly impressed with my new Bosch 300 dishwasher—it is, without a doubt, the quietest machine I have ever owned. The upper rack, designed specifically for silverware, frees up valuable space in the lower racks, allowing for a more efficient arrangement of dishes. Whenever I make a purchase, I consult Consumer Reports, and Bosch consistently ranks among the highest-rated dishwashers available. However, I must deduct a star from my rating, as the delay start function is only accessible through the app. Having the option to set it directly on the unit would be far more convenient.
John W –
After a month of use, I find myself quite satisfied with this dishwasher. Initially, I had reservations about Bosch’s drying method, fearing it might not match the effectiveness of models with a traditional heating element. However, my concerns were entirely unfounded—the drying process works flawlessly, provided one allows ample time for it to complete.
As for the design, the third rack for silverware is a wonderful addition, offering both convenience and efficiency. The middle and lower racks accommodate most items well, though bowl-shaped dishes tend to tip over due to the placement of the support prongs, which don’t quite provide adequate stability.
One minor drawback is that WiFi is necessary to check if the cycle has finished. The indicator lights turn off shortly after completion, leaving one to either inspect the dishes manually or rely on the app for confirmation. That said, the control panel is thoughtfully arranged and intuitive to use, and the dishwasher itself operates with remarkable quietness.
All in all, it’s an excellent appliance.
Nata –
This dishwasher excels at cleaning, effortlessly handling even the most stubborn residue. However, when it comes to drying, its performance leaves much to be desired. Despite any recommended adjustments, plastic items—including some of the dishwasher’s own components—consistently emerge damp. To compensate, I find myself wiping everything down with a towel before putting them away and leaving the door ajar after each cycle to aid in the drying process.
Pierre G –
Replacing our old Maytag with the Bosch 300 series proved to be a wise decision. We chose Bosch for its renowned reliability and exceptional cleaning performance, and it has more than lived up to its reputation. The dishwasher operates with remarkable quietness, and our dishes emerge spotless, looking better than ever. A fantastic investment—highly recommended!
Jean-Luc –
Even with all settings maxed and rinse aid in use, this dishwasher still struggles with drying. Unlike some models, it lacks a door vent or an automatic door pop-open feature at the end of the cycle, causing steam to condense inside as it cools. That said, its near-silent operation is a definite plus.
A second plastic tray for the bottom rack would be a welcome addition, as would a manual drain button on the front control panel. The app feels somewhat clunky, but the ability to configure settings remotely is handy. One standout feature is the top third rack for cutlery—it’s a real back-saver and adds to the overall convenience.
Laurent F –
It performs flawlessly—I load in the dirty dishes, press a few buttons, and out come spotless, gleaming plates. With Bosch, simplicity and efficiency go hand in hand.
Tronix78 –
This is, without a doubt, the finest dishwasher I’ve ever owned. Its operation is so whisper-quiet that I can hardly tell it’s running. With Home Connect, a variety of cycles, and—best of all—an extra drying option, it offers both convenience and exceptional performance.
Piper P –
This is our second Bosch dishwasher, and after nearly 20 years of reliable service from our first (with only a few minor repairs), we are completely sold on the brand. It’s whisper-quiet, highly efficient, and offers a range of wash options, along with internet connectivity for monitoring and maintenance. Absolutely love it!
Thomas M –
I love the Bluetooth feature—it allows me to start the cycle around midnight to take advantage of lower electricity rates. The dishwasher cleans thoroughly and operates with impressive quietness. If it lasts a decade, I’ll be more than satisfied, especially since modern appliances seem to have a lifespan of just 7–10 years.
Michael H –
Who thought it was a good idea to make the control panel less functional than the app? To initiate features like the delay start or rinse cycle, I have to open the app—it’s honestly baffling and frustrating. That said, it does clean exceptionally well.
Green –
It’s incredibly quiet, but I’m still trying to figure out how to get the dishes properly dry. No matter what, they always come out dripping wet—even with the extended drying time.
William B –
Love it! The features are fantastic—the third rack, angled and tilting racks, the quiet operation, multiple controls, and remote functionality. However, it’s a bit tricky to load, and the dishes don’t come out dry. I’m sure it will take some time to fully master all the features.
James C –
It runs smoothly and is incredibly quiet. The only downside is the drying process, as it lacks a heating element. Some items still require a bit of towel drying.
Tomasz K –
I’m really happy with this dishwasher—it cleans everything thoroughly, including pots and pans. While I don’t use the third rack often, it’s a great option for the few times I do need it.
Kacper W –
We previously had another Bosch dishwasher, which was great, but this new one is in a league of its own—it’s significantly quieter. A very impressive dishwasher overall.
Damian Z –
Our recent acquisition of a Bosch dishwasher has brought us great delight. While our previous machines fulfilled their role, the Bosch proves itself far superior in every respect. Its thoughtful design, featuring three racks—one dedicated solely to silverware—combined with its near-silent operation and dual wash cycles, surpasses the offerings of rival brands in remarkable ways. Effortless to operate, it leaves our dishes impeccably clean. We’ve already shared our enthusiasm with friends and are confident that this exceptional appliance will continue to serve us for many years to come.
Kennedy B –
I’m absolutely in love with this Bosch dishwasher! It operates with such quietude that not even a pin’s fall can be heard. The only sound is the gentle rush of water when it begins its cycle. What sets it apart are the removable side utensil baskets, a feature other brands lack, making organization effortless. Bosch dishwashers truly stand above the rest!
András K –
I’m truly impressed by how silent this machine is! It cleans with exceptional efficiency, and I no longer need to pre-rinse my dishes. Even the items on the top rack come out spotless. It’s refreshing to have a dishwasher that lives up to its promises. Thank you for such a remarkable product!
Ethan O –
The cleaning performance of this dishwasher is outstanding, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The middle and top rack side guides are flimsy and tend to slide side to side when pulled out, often causing the racks to come out at an angle. This results in having to push them back in and start over, which can be quite frustrating.
I’ve also been using the Bosch Home Appliance app, but it often fails to connect to the internet, even though I have a strong connection. This requires me to reboot the router to reconnect, and despite searching through the app, I haven’t found a simpler solution. The app is lacking in several areas. Additionally, the silverware “basket” fits into the bottom rack but doesn’t securely slot into the tines, causing it to “clunk” during the wash cycle when the water hits it.
Carlson –
Our old GE dishwasher, which had served us well for 5-6 years, unexpectedly stopped working, prompting my wife to research and find the Bosch 300 series, which she deemed one of the best available. Since installation, it has performed excellently, and my wife is particularly pleased with its cleaning results. The dishwasher also has internet connectivity and an app, which I set up out of curiosity, though I doubt we’ll use it much.
However, my wife has noted a couple of issues: first, the utensil basket is quite small and tends to tip over during the cycle, which is a bit of a hassle. Our GE had a much larger basket, and unfortunately, we didn’t think to salvage it before the old dishwasher was taken away. Secondly, my wife finds the dishwasher has an unpleasant “new” smell, which, while likely to dissipate with time, is still bothersome to her. She has a particularly sensitive nose and is sensitive to anything scented, so it’s more noticeable for her. She mentions it’s especially unpleasant when she opens the door in the morning to unload the clean dishes.
Oliver R –
The Bosch 300 dishwasher excels at washing both dishes and cookware, leaving them spotless with each cycle. We find the silverware rack far superior to the traditional upright basket, offering greater organization and ease of use. Our only grievances are that programming the machine proves cumbersome without the internet interface, and the drying performance falls short, requiring us to leave the door ajar for complete dryness.
Kow87 –
For far too long, an unusable old dishwasher lingered in my kitchen, but just in time for the holiday season, I finally replaced it with this marvel. What a joy! I can pack it to the brim, and yet every item emerges gleaming and dry. Though I make a habit of pre-rinsing—unable to bear the thought of food remnants accumulating in the filter—it effortlessly lifts coffee and tea stains, as well as the slick residue left behind by my dogs’ licked dishes. Every function operates flawlessly, and its whisper-quiet performance is so subtle that I hardly notice it running. The first time I switched it on, I was convinced something must be amiss. I absolutely love it.
Miguel T –
We’ve been using our new Bosch dishwasher for about a month now, and the contrast with our old GE model is nothing short of remarkable. Every aspect of its design and engineering reflects a keen focus on the user experience and the final results. I’m particularly fond of the dedicated utensil rack at the top, the adjustable middle rack, and the fold-down tines in the lower rack, which effortlessly accommodate large pots and pans. The drying system—ingeniously designed with covered heating elements to prevent plastic items from warping—outperforms any dishwasher I’ve owned before. And to think, all of this comes at a price no higher than that of lesser models. Well done, Bosch!
Jav –
Thus far, we have been thoroughly impressed with this dishwasher. The dedicated silverware tray not only maximizes space but also enhances cleaning efficiency. Dishes—particularly plastic cutting boards and food storage containers—emerge far cleaner than they ever did in our previous machine. The near-silent operation is a delight, making its presence barely noticeable. After a month of daily use, our satisfaction remains unwavering.
Carlos R –
This marks the fifth Bosch dishwasher I’ve owned, and I remain steadfast in my loyalty to the brand—I simply won’t consider anything else. True to form, this model delivers exceptional performance, leaving us thoroughly pleased. Not only does it function flawlessly, but its sleek design adds a touch of elegance to our kitchen. Bosch has impressed me once again.
Diego G –
Without question, this is the finest dishwasher I have ever owned. Its whisper-quiet operation, sleek integration with my cabinetry—achieved without the need for a custom panel—and the convenient silverware tray at the top all make it a standout. Installation could pose a challenge for those without a dedicated GFI outlet in a nearby cabinet, as it cannot be placed directly behind the unit. However, despite the extra effort required, the results have been well worth it. I highly recommend it!
Alejandro M –
After more than a year of washing dishes by hand following the failure of my third dishwasher, I finally discovered my perfect replacement—a Bosch, and in white no less! With white appliances becoming increasingly rare, finding this one felt like a small victory. Its near-silent operation is astounding; I hardly notice when it’s running. Best of all, its cleaning performance is nothing short of exceptional.
Dudek –
This dishwasher has lived up to all my expectations—save for one detail. The included user manual proved far too generic, offering instructions for an entire range of models rather than specifically for the SHE53C82N. As a result, adjusting the settings to my preferences required multiple attempts. That aside, the machine itself performs flawlessly.
Bartosz S –
This is, without a doubt, the finest dishwasher I’ve ever owned. I prefer simplicity over excessive features, and this model strikes the perfect balance. It operates with remarkable quietness, cleans impeccably, and dries thoroughly. I couldn’t be more pleased—Bosch has truly won me over.
Lucas –
After many years of purchasing appliances, always striving to find the best within my budget, I’ve never been entirely satisfied with the results—until now. We decided to go with the entry-level Bosch model, even though it was the least expensive option, because we’d heard time and again that Bosch was unmatched, no matter the model. Admittedly, the first few weeks had their share of frustrations with the settings, but once I gave in and downloaded the app, everything clicked into place effortlessly. Now, I never worry about whether stubborn, caked-on food will come clean. I follow the simple instructions, and even when the dishes seem crammed together, they emerge spotless. The smaller utensil holder, which I thought might be a drawback, turned out to be a blessing, offering more space and flexibility thanks to its movable design. And the crowning feature? The third rack. It’s perfect for knives, extra silverware, and larger utensils, freeing up space in the main racks. Moving forward, Bosch will definitely be my go-to brand for all future appliance purchases!
Jack A –
My new Bosch dishwasher has truly won me over. It does an exceptional job at washing the dishes and offers ample space to accommodate all that I need to clean. The third top tray is a brilliant feature, perfect for larger utensils and silverware with thicker handles. Above all, I am enchanted by its remarkable silence, a blessing in my open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area.
Alexander D –
The absence of a rinse-only function and an end-of-cycle indicator is a notable flaw. The need to rely on an awkward phone app just to confirm whether the dishes are clean is far from ideal. Despite these shortcomings, the machine itself proves to be quite capable.
Mason –
Bosch came highly recommended, and given my discerning expectations for value, I approached the purchase with great care. I’m pleased to say, it has not let me down in the least.
Loy –
It operates with an impressive level of quietude and does an excellent job of cleaning. The water temperature reaches just the right heat, which is crucial. I appreciate the adjustability of the top rack. However, I am thoroughly displeased with the removal of the Delay Start button. Now, we’re expected to use an app. To the designers: I simply want to stand before an appliance and press a button, not waste time navigating an app. After all, it’s meant to be an appliance, not a smartphone accessory!
Jacob T –
It’s so remarkably quiet that the only distinction I can discern is the subtle shift from its idle state to when it enters the clean mode. The difference is nearly imperceptible.
Vivian –
We are thoroughly delighted with our new dishwasher. It operates with such quiet efficiency and delivers spotless results in just an hour. While it offers a variety of settings, we’ve found that the one which conserves both water and electricity suits our needs perfectly.
